Where is the outcry against the aggressors? Why do the victims get the blame? Hezbollah deliberately picked a fight and now they’re getting what they asked for. They are 99% to blame for this war, which might well be the ramp up to World War III. Israel’s culpability is strictly related to her fight for survival. ???? ???? ??? ????
Why is the disconnected world asking ISRAEL to stop? Don’t those of the Western world understand that the Israel-Hezbollah war is a harbinger of what is to come between militant Islamofascisti and the the West? Do they not understand that we’re ALL in a fight for the survival of Western civilization as we know it?
Hezbollah is hitting civilian targets in the resort/port city of Haifa with anti-personnel rockets manufactured in Syria to kill as many people as they can. These rockets are loaded with ball bearings that make the warhead act like a giant shotgun shell, only the shrapnel flies in all directions. Where is the condemnation of Hezbollah for using these weapons to kill and maim civilians?
Israel made an incursion into Lebanon to destroy the Hezbollah capabilities along her northern border and was, of course, condemned. Why? If Hezbollah moves those Syrian missile launchers to the northern border, they can hit Tel Aviv.
Hezbollah is still holding two kidnaped Israeli soldiers. If they wanted to stop this violence, they could release the soldiers and state their case for peace. However, they have never done that. ????? ?????? In the larger sense, they’re all about the destruction of Israel, and they never have stated any peaceful goals. Why are they not being condemned for their very existence?
The democratic government in Lebanon is powerless to stop Hezbollah. Initially, the prime minister condemned the aggression by Hezbollah, but this morning, perhaps under threat of invasion by neighboring Syria, he flip-flopped on that issue, now condemning Israel.
Hezbollah is well funded (by Iran) and loaded with personnel and munitions. They don’t have to fight fair, because the world gives terrorists a bye. They can blow people up with impunity, as they have done for years. They’re not subject to the Geneva Convention rules, but the rest of us have to abide by them in fighting these savages.
These are people, if I may use the term loosely, who will not negotiate. If they did, their concessions would be disingenuous. Their object is to blow Israel off the face of the Earth, and their broader goal is to destroy the Western world. Do these peace-at-all-costs apologists not understand the threat?
Hezbollah, and in the larger sense, militant Islamic fundamentalists cannot and should not be appeased. Instead, they must be defeated. Israel has given up much of the territory it won in the 1967 war and has proposed to give up more in the hope of promoting peace, but to no avail. Hezbollah and Hamas don’t want to meet Israel halfway. They’ll take anything they’re given and then continue on with their jihad.
This morning, I heard a report that the Arab League condemned Hezbollah for its instigation and continued civilian-targeted aggression. That’s a bold move. Following their lead, it’s time for the West to be unequivocal in its condemnation of Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Muslim Nation, and all the other gangs of goons bent on our destruction.
The mistakes of history should teach us that appeasement is a poor policy to thwart fascism. These are evil, self-serving people who only understand one thing: force. Every time the Western allies gave Hitler a concession, he responded by marching his storm troopers into another country. By the time the West was ready to do anything about it, Hitler became much stronger and the Axis was formed. The longer we allow these people to do their evil unfettered, the stronger and more obnoxious they’ll get.
Lebensraum — room to live — was Hitler’s ostensible goal in “repatriating” territory in Europe for Germany. The Palestinians, run by the evil Hamas, similarly talk about their people’s territorial prerogatives. In both cases, evil and much more far reaching ambitions lie beneath the surface. “Today, Germany. Tomorrow, the world.” This distant echo must not be forgotten.
Israel’s current goal is to forcefully disable Hezbollah’s capability for raining missiles down on her cities. Her long-term goal is to be able to live in peace, if not ideological harmony, with her neighbors. Israel should be applauded, not condemned, for having the brains to understand the threat and the balls to do something about it. ????? ???????? ????? Undoubtedly, Israel wants peace, but the constant threats to her borders since 1948 have led her to deal quickly and decisively with the aggressors that surround her. If we Americans had suffered years of people blowing up coffee shops and buses, had a couple of soldiers kidnaped, and then took a frontal missile assault on Miami, would we not be calling for swift and violent counter action? I’d hope that we wouldn’t spend too much time thinking about it.
The longer we—and the rest of the Western world—allow this ass-backward condemnation of Israel to continue while giving the true agressors a free pass, the more we risk for ourselves. If we allow Hezbollah and friends to succeed in Israel, they will not stop there. The reasonable and concerned sovereign states of the West must ally themselves with Israel right now and gird for a fight for all that is dear to us.

I can’t blame israel either, although both sides are so steeped in each other’s blood that I don’t know how there’s ever a solution. fighting terrorism with war seems to make it worse everywhere, but at the same time terrorists should be annihilated. i’m watching in moribund fascination
