Maurice Clarett, who is in perpetual trouble with the law, has exacerbated his woes. If Clarett had stayed with the system and toed the line for three more years, he likely would have set himself up for a life of comfort and joy. While he lost his court case with the NFL, when he became age-eligible he was actually drafted in the third round in 2005 by the Denver Broncos. He was subsequently cut.
