X-Rays and an MRI revealed that Joe Paterno’s leg was fractured in two places and that both anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments were torn. It is not certain whether surgery will be performed, although Joe is all for it if it enables him to heal faster.
The Nittany Turkey joins a plethora of concerned fans, friends, and family in wishing Joe a quick and pain-free recovery.

David Jones of the Harrisburg Patriot-News reports that Craig James has apologized for the disrespectfully gaseous geriatric epithet he applied to Joe Paterno on Saturday’s broadcast, and that no further disciplinary action will be taken by ESPN/ABC.
“Earlier today, during our halftime show, I was trying to show admiration and compliment Coach Paterno and his intensity. I inadvertently used an expression about Coach Paterno that I apologize for.
“I’ve supported Coach Paterno for years, and I continue to be a big fan of this guy for all these years and I certainly hope his leg’s OK.”
So, in other words, James voted for Paterno before he voted against him.
