Rosie O’Donnell, a formerly funny comedian, who a while ago took over for Meredith Viera on ABC’s daytime soft-news/interview show The View, has been using that forum to spout off her irrational anti-Administration diatribe. Rosie’s mind is obviously defective, but her big mouth has been effective in overshadowing her softer-spoken colleagues on the show, particularly Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who appears to possess a superior intellect. (She’s also totally hot, or maybe it’s just that she’s improbably blonde and smart—whatever.) Disney/ABC should have canned Rosie long ago for her wacko crap, but apparently, they don’t mind a little notariety. Well, maybe they will, now that Rosie has indicted them as one of the four “big corporations that control the media in this country”—this, when she told her audience to go outside the U.S. for news about our country.
Back to the premise of this post, as expressed by its title, Rosie is not an idiot. Calling her an idiot would be unkind to those to which that term was applied until it was eliminated from polite speech in the Orwellian Newspeak political correctness movement of the last few decades. Here is a 1940s definition of an idiot:
The idiot is one whose mental capacity is below the third-year level; they are clumsy, awkward, untidy and require constant supervision in the performance of the simplest requirement of living. Most idiots learn a few simple words but rarely learn to talk intelligently.
At first, it would seem to apply, but apparently, Rosie has learned how to go to the bathroom on her own. In other words, she knows better, but she just acts like an idiot. Indeed, she has learned a few simple words but she has not learned to talk intelligently.
See for yourself. Watch this clip and tell me that Rosie actually is for real. I cannot believe the extent of the crap that comes out of her big damn mouth!

The Redhead says
I’ve never liked Rosie. I remember when she had her daytime talk show and people called her the “Queen of Nice.” What I read was a whole different story–that she was a real jerk. She has a right to her opinions, and I’ve heard similar ones expressed by others, but she’s short on facts.
People are criticizing Blabra Walters for keeping her on The View because Blabra is a “journalist.” Blabra hasn’t been a credible journalist for years–she’s a celebrity. I can’t stand her either so as far as I’m concerned she and Rosie are in good company. These days as long as the networks are winning big ratings, they’ll keep anything and anyone on. They’re following cable’s suit: Witness Nancy Graceless.
The Nittany Turkey says
You witness Nancy Grace—I don’t wanna! In fact, keep CNN. Per Rosie’s instructions, I’m now going to be watching Al-Jazeera and Inside the Kremlin Today for news about our country!
