Former PSU president Graham Spanier and his lawyers will tell his version of the Sandusky scandal on ABC and ESPN today, starting with ESPN’s 3:00 pm “Outside the Lines” and running through tomorrow’s “Good Morning America” and “Good Afternoon America.” Here’s ABC’s announcement.
I just programmed my DVR to catch all of the different showings, because the article doesn’t make it very clear whether the same interview will be rebroadcast or there will be new material for each individual network time slot.
Also, Spanier’s lawyers held a press conference in Philly today to critique the Freeh report.
PSU Board of Trustees members Anthony Lubrano and Al Clemens commented on the attorneys’ comments.
These distractions tear me away from reading “Paterno,” but it’s all too damn engrossing to pass up!
Will anything come of Spanier’s criticism of the Freeh report? Would it require another multi-million dollar investigation to prove that the inconsistencies invalidate the conclusions?
What would the NCAA do if it found egg on its face? My guess is that it would hide behind the victims to justify its draconian sanctions in any event.
