This is pretty rich, alright. Leave it to “progressive” publisher Huffington Post to abet the sensationalism surrounding the Penn State situation. The interview with Dan McGinn goes on for 30 minutes or so.
The other participants beside McGinn are smirking, self-declared Professor/Author/Activist/Anthropologist moderator Marc Lamont Hill, who is apparently anti-Penn State and pro-NCAA; David Leonard, another smirker, who is a “Professor of Culture, Gender, and Race” (whatever the hell that is!) at Washington State University, who keeps calling Rod Erickson “Rodney Harrington”, who was the lead character in “Peyton Place” by Grace Metalious; Kevin Horne, whom you probably know as a senior at PSU and managing editor of Onward State; Remy Maisel, another PSU student with an opinion, who is a blogger with the Huffington Post and whose Twitter name is @remeanie and whose Twitter profile states “Andrew Breitbart insulted me once. He’s dead now.” — wants Penn State to accept its punishment and for all of us to move on (an aspiring Karen Peetz); and Robert Wheel, attorney and contributor to SB*Nation.
I wanted to embed the video so it would be directly accessible from this page, but I haven’t been able to do that. Check out the wonderfulness right here.
There are some decent links along with the video, and there is a comment thread that is pretty rich with haters, defenders, and the inevitable cluelessness.
