A few Sunday morning tweets from two PSU running backs tell a story about mindsets the morning after a big loss.
eroyster22 going to play a relaxing round of golf now…
Then, about an hour later:
eroyster22 fallin asleep in the golf cart…
That was from Evan Royster, who underachieved yet again on Saturday. Contrast his tweets with this, from one of his heirs apparent, Silas Redd:
Si_REDDzone25 #RISEandGRIND y’all ! didn’t wanna lift this morning but theres a price to pay for success and it’s call hardwork!
Royster needed a relaxing round of golf on Sunday, whereas Redd knew that the only way to improve himself is to keep on working on getting stronger and faster. Sounds like an entitled senior versus a driven freshman. No wonder Redd is getting so much playing time. This is one of the few things the coaches are doing right.
However, the natives are restless, and Cory Giger of the Altoona Mirror has a lot to say about it. Warning: he tells it as he sees it; there is no walking on eggs or sacred cow treatment here.
