Well, not really. The Orlando Sentinel went to the trouble of sending a photographer out on location to shoot some pictures of me looking pissed off standing next to a road sign. The picture was supposed to have been published in today’s paper on page Z-98, just ahead of the feature on collectable Chia Pets, and it would have documented a complaint I sent to the Road Wise column. The words were, in fact, published; but the picture was not. So, let me rectumfy that for those of you who I told would see my picture in today’s paper, particularly if you threw fifty cents away on a copy of the Sentinel.
And So, It Begins
Now that hurricane season has begun and we have our first named storm, Alberto, how long will it be before we start seeing local television news reporters in slickers and sou’westers dragging camera crews to projected points of landfall? Too late! They’re already standing out there in the rain, reporting live to bring us the latest pictures of—stupid local news reporters standing in the rain.
Bless the beasts, the children, and the local news directors.
Not a Problem
Who starts these things? Instead of “happy to be of service” or “my pleasure,” we are now subjected to the negative angle: “not a problem.”
